To the editor:
I would like to congratulate and commend all Sertoma members and everyone involved in planning, coordinating and carrying out this year’s Mat-Su Polar Plunge.
This incredible group of talented and committed individuals pulled off a flawless event, and I would like to pass along my deepest gratitude to all involved for a job very well done. Everything seemed to go like clockwork. It all ran smoothly and right on schedule, nobody got left at the bottom of the lake and it was loads of fun!
Even the education birds on site seemed to thoroughly enjoy it and behaved themselves exceedingly well.
On behalf of the Alaska WildBird Rehabilitation Center (AWBRC), we can’t thank you enough for your service to our community and for choosing AWBRC as one of your recipients for this year’s plunge donations. Your group is the literal essence of what “service to mankind” means, and we are a very fortunate community indeed to have such a generous entity so willing to share and help others.
We’re honored to have been a part of the Plunge and look forward to seeing the DVD when it is finished. You folks are truly awesome and awe-inspiring!
