On January 24, 2023 at approximately 1042 hours, Janssen’s Mat-Su Funeral Home contacted MatCom and reported someone had trespassed onto the business’ property earlier in the morning. This person broke locks and stole items worth about $6,000. Surveillance photographs were obtained, and investigation is ongoing.

The suspects were identified as 26 year old Dallan Barney, and 26 year old Brianna Thronsen-Ferlaak. Both were arrested and remanded to Mat-Su PreTrial on January 26, 2023.

On January 29, 2023, at approximately 2030 hours AST responded to a possible assault in the area of N. Dorothy Driver. Following the investigation, Keith Sebelius (37) of Palmer, was arrested for two counts of domestic violence-related Assault in the 4th degree. Sebelius was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial without bail.

On January 30, 2023, at approximately 1915 hours AST responded to a possible assault in the area of W. Stanley Drive. Following the investigation, Marie Joe (56) of Wasilla, was arrested for domestic violence-related Assault in the 4th degree and Criminal Mischief in the 5th degree. Joe was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial without bail.

On 1/31/2023, at approximately 0905 hours, AST was on patrol in the area of Meadow Lakes Loop in Wasilla and conducted a traffic stop on a blue Ford sedan. The driver was identified as Corey Toews, age 49, of Wasilla. Investigation revealed that Corey was driving with a revoked license. Further investigation revealed that Corey had three prior DWLR convictions. Corey was issued a misdemeanor summons.

On January 31, 2023 at approximately 1055 hours, MatCom received the report of an overdose where the individual was not conscious or breathing. CPR was in progress, where a good Samaritan on scene was a registered nurse. AST and PPD arrived on scene and assisted with lifesaving efforts. After CPR and two doses of Narcan, the patient became conscious and started to breath. EMS arrived on scene, and ultimately transported the patient to Mat-Su Regional Hospital.

On 2/2/2023, Alaska State Troopers assigned to Palmer Judicial Services arrested William Wallis, age 56 of Wasilla, for DUI and Driving While License Revoked after he was called in as a Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately, REDDI Report. Wallis was transported to Palmer Post where he provided a breath sample of .227 BrAC. Wallis was found to be driving on a revoked driver's license. Wallis was remanded to Mat Su Pretrial on $1,500.00 cash bail.

On 02/02/2023 at approximately 1256 hours, the Alaska State Troopers contacted Robert Rice, age 33 of Palmer, near Lower Circle Road in Palmer. Investigation revealed Robert had an APD active arrest warrant for Failure to Appear on a remand hearing for the original charge of Removal of Merchandise. He was transported to Mat-Su Pretrial and held on no bail.
