ALASKA STATE TROOPERS

August 29 at 12:05 a.m., Soldotna AST arrested 33-year-old Rachel Shruck of Palmer at mile 73 of the Sterling Highway. Shruck had an outstanding FTA warrant on the O/C of Trespassing 1 and Theft 4 and was taken to WCC.

August 30 at 7:12 p.m., AST and Mat-Su Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the Anderson Lake airstrip for an airplane crash. Investigation determined that 28-year-old Michael Wurzell of Hawaii crashed a Piper PA-14 attempting to land and was transported to MSRMC with non-life threatening injuries.

During August 2020, Mat-Su Borough Animal Control has investigated incidents involving suspects shooting pet cats in the Mat-Su Valley while on the roadway. Troopers are assisting Mat-Su Animal Control and are asking anyone with information related to contact AST.

ALASKA WILDLIFE TROOPERS

August 1, Seward AWT cited 39-year-old Jennifer Matthews of Wasilla $220 for fishing without a license in possession in Resurrection Bay.

August 1, Seward AWT cited 45-year-old John Truchan of Wasilla $120 for fishing with too many lines in the water in Resurrection Bay.

AST is requesting anyone with information about these incidents to contact Crime Stoppers at 745-3333, AST dispatch at 352-5401, WPD at 352-4501, or PPD at 745-4811.
