On 01-22-24 at approximately 1435 hrs, Alaska State Troopers assigned to Palmer Judicial Services arrested Trinity Ahkpuk, age 21 from Wasilla. Ahkpuk had an active warrant for her arrest for failure to appear for a pre-trial conference hearing on 01-08-24 on the original charge of Criminal Trespass-II and Disorderly Conduct. Ahkpuk was remanded to Mat Su Pretrial with bail set at $250.00 Cash Appearance.
On 01/22/2024 at approximately 2238 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a red 2005 Chevy Pickup on Bald Eagle near Schrock Road in Wasilla for equipment and moving violations. Investigation revealed the driver, Aisha Toews age 24 of Wasilla, was driving while her license was suspended with prior convictions. Further, Toews and a separate vehicle were identified by a witness as possibly engaging a potential theft prior to the traffic stop. Troopers located the other vehicle and ultimately located two wanted individuals at a residence on Grizzly Bear Drive. Joshua Curtis, age 40 of Wasilla, was arrested for Fail to Remand on the original charges of Criminal Mischief IV and VCOR x4. Miryah Harmon, age 37 of Wasilla, was arrested for PTRP x2. Both were lodged at Mat-Su Pretrial and Curtis was held without bail and Harmon was held on $550 bail.
On 12/23/2024 at 0110 hours AST conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an inoperable headlight traveling on Hollywood and Elkins St. Investigations showed passenger Sabrina Thompson who had an active warrant for failure to appear. Sabrina Thompson was arrested and transported to Matsu Pre-trial where she was remanded.
On 1/24/2024, the Alaska State Troopers were notified that a men's wedding ring was located in the parking lot of a business on Blue Lupine Drive in Palmer. There was no identifying information on the ring. Troopers are holding the ring for safekeeping.
On 01/23/2024 at approximately 1658 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a stolen credit card and mail theft. A suspect was developed after security footage was obtained showing the suspect using the stolen credit card. Troopers located the suspect on 01/24/2024 at approximately 0135 hours on Tanis Drive in Wasilla and positively identified her as Aisha Toews, age 24 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed Toews was in possession of 50+ articles of mail to include more than 25 credit cards that did not belong to her. Toews was arrested for Scheme to Defraud, Criminal Impersonation I x3, Theft II x25, Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card x3, 30 counts of Opening or Publishing Contents of Sealed Letters, DWLS, No Liability Insurance, & Violate Conditions of Release. Toews was remanded to the custody of the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held without bail. Investigation is ongoing as Troopers will be attempting to contact all the credit card owners and original recipients of the US Mail.
