Wasilla Police Department
March 27 Wasilla Police Department responded to 950 E. Bogard Road for a report of criminal trespassing. Officers contacted Raven Kirchner, age 44 of Wasilla. Raven has been advised multiple times of her lifetime trespass from the property. Raven was arrested for Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree, issued a summons and released.
March 27 Wasilla Police responded to Carrs grocery store located at 595 E Parks HWY in Wasilla, for a report of a trespassed person back in the store after multiple reminders. Investigations found that Skylar Braggs, age 41, of Wasilla, did trespass and had a previous lifetime trespass issued. Braggs was arrested for criminal trespass in the second degree, issued a summons to court for trespassing and then released to a friend who transported him off the property.
March 27 Wasilla Police received a report of the caller’s vehicle being hit in the rear by another vehicle in the Taco Bell drive through. The caller described the suspect vehicle and license plate and reported believing the driver was intoxicated. Wasilla Police located and stopped the suspect vehicle. The driver was identified as Alissa M. Bledsoe, 20, of Wasilla, who exhibited signs of being under the influence of both marijuana and alcohol. Bledsoe failed a series of field sobriety tests and was arrested for Driving Under the Influence. A breath test revealed Bledsoe’s breath alcohol concentration was .111.She was summoned to court for the charge of DUI and the violation of Minor Operating a Motor Vehicle after Consuming Alcohol and released to a sober adult.
March 26 Wasilla Police responded to a Target located at 1801 E Parks Hwy for a report of a collision in the parking lot. Investigation found that Krystal Wesley age 31 from Palmer had committed the crime of Driver Under the Influence. Wesley was issued a criminal summons and released to a sober party.
March 25 Wasilla Police responded to Target on E Parks Hwy for a report of a theft. Investigation found Dominick Lozano, age 35 of Anchorage and Steven Hartgrove, age 32 of Anchorage, stole two pairs of Bose Bluetooth sunglasses valued at $249.99 each. Lozano was additionally found to have stolen a pair of the same sunglasses on 01/01/2022 from the same location. Lozano and Hartgrove were both issued a criminal summons with a mandatory court appearance for Theft 3 and were released at the scene.
March 25 Wasilla Police received a report of a theft of multiple street signs in the area of Creekside Dr. and Glenwood Ave. Investigations are ongoing
March 25 Wasilla Police Department was dispatched to a report of a theft at the Speedway Express at Park and Main. An unknown female suspect stole about $140 worth of merchandise and fled the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
March 24 Wasilla Police responded to OCS on E Parks Hwy for a report of a catalytic converter theft. Investigation found that on 03/17/2022 at approximately 2254 hrs, an unknown male stole the catalytic converter from a state vehicle. Police are investigating.
March 24 Wasilla Police conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Seldon and Winona drive. During the stop, illegal drugs were located and Alexia Sturgeon age 24, of Wasilla was issued a summons for one count of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the 5th degree.
March 23 Wasilla Police were advised a male had attempted to shoplift at Lowes and was in the Target area. Police arrived to the area and had been advised the male left Target towards Fred Meyers. Police walked through Fred Meyers and located the male. Upon contact the male lied about his name but was ultimately identified as Kyle Trout, age 25 of Wasilla. Trout was found to have a warrant for violating conditions of probation for his Felony DUI. Trout was arrested for his warrant and issued a summons for False Information.
March 21 Wasilla Police attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle speeding on Seward Meridian Parkway. The vehicle failed to stop for the Wasilla Police Officer and a vehicle pursuit started, in which the vehicle drove into oncoming traffic multiple times at high rates of speed. The officer was able to catch the vehicle as it came to a stop in the area in Bogard Rd and Engstrom Rd where the driver surrendered without further resistance. The driver was identified as John Hibbert, an 18-year-old Wasilla resident, and he was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial with one count of fail to stop at the direction of a police officer in the first degree.
March 22 Wasilla Police Department responded to Walmart in reference to a theft. Investigation led to Shalayna Barber being issued a criminal summons for Theft 3 and Criminal Trespass 1 for pushing out a cart full of merchandise without rendering any payment.
March 22 Wasilla Police were advised of a vehicle parked at a business off of Lucille St having had the hood pried open and the battery stolen on 3/16/2022. Police reviewed footage and confirmed one of the suspect vehicles, a white BMW, had already been impounded for a Police investigation the afternoon of 3/16/2022. Investigation is ongoing to positively identify the suspect in the criminal mischief and theft of the vehicle battery.
March 22 Wasilla Police Department responded to an apartment complex on Lucille St in reference to a person not paying the cab fare and running inside. Investigation led to the arrest of Jourdain Wilson for his arrest warrants as well as Jourdain being issued a criminal summons for Theft 3. Jourdain was remanded to Matsu Pretrial.
March 21 Wasilla Police responded to a report of a theft at the Wasilla Behavior Health building off of Danna Ave. Investigation found that white, male suspect cut the catalytic converter and oxygen sensor off the company van causing a couple thousand dollars in damage. The department was provided with video evidence of the suspect and the investigation is on going.
