Mat-Su Regional invites community members to join the health system’s efforts to fight hunger by participating in the second annual Jars of Love Peanut Butter Drive benefitting Mat-Su Food Bank & Palmer Food Bank. Peanut butter is a sought after item for food banks because of its high nutritional value and long shelf life. Yet, it is one of the least donated items. The Jars of Love Peanut Butter Drive kicks off on March 4th and will run through March 25th.
“We recognize the impact hunger has on an individual’s health and wellbeing, and we want to help those in our community who are struggling with food insecurity,” said Dave Wallace, CEO, Mat-Su Regional Medical Center. “Many people in our Mat-Su Borough are facing food insecurity. Our Jars of Love Peanut Butter Drive is a great way to partner with community members to reduce hunger in our area.”
We have collection bins located in the main lobby at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center. Join us by dropping off a Jar of Love, March 4-25th 2024.
