At 5:30 a.m. Monday morning, as part of a ceremony at Mat-Su Central Station 61, 343 flags were placed marking each firefighter lost that day. At 5:59 a.m., a moment of silence was observed for when the first tower fell followed by another moment of silence at 6:28 a.m., when the second tower fell.
