Mat-Su Schools Foundation is offering five $2,000 scholarships. The deadline for applications is April 16, 2018.
Each scholarship is for graduates of the Mat-Su Borough School District who intend to further their professional training in a college, university, or certification program beyond high school. Applications will highlight each applicant’s career goals, previous community service, and two letters of reference. We will also look favorably at applications which specify long-term plans where skills developed through post-secondary education will benefit our greater community.
Although the scholarships aren’t based on need, students will include a financial plan estimating their projected financial resources and college or trade school expenses. A letter of acceptance from the college the applicant will be attending will need to be received no later than December 31, 2018 for disbursement of funds from Mat-Su Schools Foundation.
