The Colony boys scored a pair of key conference wins on the road over the weekend, beating Lathrop and West Valley in Fairbanks.
Colony blanked Lathrop 5-0. Johnny Figgins led Colony with a pair of goals. Owen Dietz added a goal and an assist. Isaac Villa and Quinn Dowd also scored.
The Knight also edged West Valley 1-0. Dowd scored the lone goal midway through the second half. Matthew Crawford bagged the assist.
Mason Irsik earned both shutouts in the Knights net.
The Colony girls went 1-1-0.
Avrie Geigerich scored a pair of second-half goals in a 2-0 win over Lathrop. Hannah Hoffman assisted on both goals. Savannah Anderson earned the shutout.
West Valley edged Colony 2-1. Geigerich scored the Colony goal, with an assist from Emily Moses. West Valley scored the game-winner late in the second half.
The Wasilla girls finished 0-1-1 in Fairbanks.
West Valley beat Wasilla 3-1. Jordan Sande scored Wasilla’s goal, with an assist from Lainey Kroon.
Wasilla tied Lathrop 1-1. Morgan Mahoney forced the tie, scoring for the Warriors with less than two minutes remaining.
Palmer also made the trip to Fairbanks.
Palmer beat the North Pole boys 3-0. Aidan Kent scored twice and Fischer Adams added a goal.
The Moose also blanked Hutchison 7-0. Aidan House scored twice. Adams, Kent, Elijah Von Gunten, Tobin Miller and Kaleb Von Gunten also scored.
Lathrop edged Palmer 2-1. Noah Gallego scored the Palmer goal.
The Palmer girls finished 1-2-0.
Palmer beat Hutchison 9-0. Greta Campfield notched the hat trick. Abigail MacLean and Kaylee Gallego scored two goals each. Rileigh Day and Theresa Arreola also scored.
North Pole got past Palmer 5-2. Gallego scored both goals.
Lathrop beat Palmer 8-0.
Palmer swept a pair of soccer games at Houston April 30.
Audrey Cahill scored the go-ahead goal during the 73rd minute to lead the Palmer girls to a 2-1 win over the Hawks.
Arreola beat the defender and the goalkeeper before making the pass to Cahill to take the lead. Campfield tried the score at 1 for Palmer during the 12th minute. Houston took a 1-0 lead during the first minute of regulation.
Palmer scored a 12-0 win over the Houston boys. Noah Gallego led the Moose with a hat trick. Elijah Von Gunten and Zidane Dietz scored two goals each. Maddux, Bultron, Fischer Adams, Jacob Logan and Aiden Kent also scored.
