Wasilla sophomore Alexis Imoe has been named the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman Student–Athlete of the Week.
Last week Imoe was named first-team all-state for the 4A girls class by the Alaska Association of Basketball Coaches.
Imoe, also a first-team All-Northern Lights Conference selection, is in her second year as the starting point guard for the Wasilla Warriors.
“She’s a good kid. She’s trying to do things the right way, and comes to work to maximize her potential,” Wasilla head coach Jeannie Hebert-Truax said of Imoe.
Thursday, Imoe will help lead her team into the state tourney.
The Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman congratulates Imoe on her success.
