Wasilla resident Maurice "Rusty" Winchester, 47, died Aug. 26, 2002, at Valley Hospital in Palmer, of natural causes.
A public visitation will be held Sunday, Sept. 1, from 11 a.m. to noon at Valley Funeral Home, 151 E. Herning Avenue in Wasilla.
Mr. Winchester was born Feb. 21, 1955, in Seattle, Wash. He graduated from Bothell High School in Bothell, Wash.
Mr. Winchester served in the United States Army.
He and his family moved to Alaska in September 1996. He owned Done Right, a janitorial and construction clean-up and high-rise window cleaning service since 1997.
His interests included fishing, gold mining, being with his family and working on their cabin.
His family remembers said, "Rusty and his wife, Lisa, shared a long and loving relationship with each other, their children and grandchildren."
Mr. Winchester is survived by his wife Lisa; sons, Jerico, Jordan, Kalen, Daniel and Blain; daughter Shauna; and five grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by Valley Funeral Home & Crematory.
