MEA resolution No. 1828

Subject: Disclosure of Integrated resource plan

Reference: March 19, 2007

Whereas, a written request, dated March 10, 2007, has been make by one of the Association's members for a copy of the Association's entire Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) dated October 17, 2006; and

Whereas, Chugach Electric Association, Inc. (CEA) is currently preparing an IRP, with anticipated public release in April 2007, looking at many of the issues examined in the Association's IRP dated October 17, 2006; and

Whereas, the Board has determined that disclosure of the detailed assumptions in the Association's IRP prior to the public disclosure of CEA's new IRP may bias the results in CEA's document in a manner that could harm the Association's legal and financial interests; and

Whereas, at an appropriate time dissemination of the October 17, 2006, IRP is believed to be in the Association's best interest; and

Whereas, it would be extremely burdensome for the Association to produce paper copies of the October 17, 2006, IRP for each member who might desire to review this document.

Now therefore be it resolved by the Board of Directors of Matanuska Electric Association, Inc., that Staff is hereby directed to post a copy of the Association's IRP dated October 17, 2006 on the Association's website(sic) following CEA's public disclosure of its new IRP.
