About Nakamura: Kevin Nakamura is in his first season with the Mat-Su Miners. The 5-foot-9 catcher is ac senior at Whitman College and is from Fife, Washington.
At Whitman College: Nakamura hit .293, with nine home runs, 38 RBI and 30 runs scored in 2021. He led his team in home runs.
With the Miners: Nakamura has five hits, three runs, eight RBI and a home run in seven games this season.
Casey Rother

About Rother: Casey Rother is in his first season with the Mat-Su Miners. The 6-foot-5 right-handed hitter is a junior at Lehigh University and is from Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
At Lehigh: Rother led Lehigh with 52 hits and a .329 batting average in 2021. He also collected six home runs, 36 RBI and 33 runs scored.
With the Miners: Rother is leading the Alaska Baseball League with a .433 batting average. He also has 13 hits, five doubles, eight runs and three RBI.
