About Ford: Ryan Ford is in his first season with the Mat-Su Miners. the 5-foot-9 right-hander is a native of Knoxville, Tenn., and recently capped his sophomore season at Middle Tennessee.
At Middle Tennessee: Ford made 52 starts for the Blue Raiders, finishing fourth on the squad with a .281 batting average. He collected 48 hits, drove in 21 runs and scored 16 times.
With the Miners: Ford has appeared in 11 games for the Miners this summer, and has made 10 starts. He has six hits, four runs and has stolen a pair of bases.
