About Arthur: Scott Arthur is returning for his second summer with the Mat-Su Miners. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Spring, Texas, product is a sophomore at Texas A&M. Arthur bats and throws right, and can play in the infield or outfield.
At Texas A&M: Arthur showed off his speed as a sophomore, stealing 21 bases for the Aggies. He also hit .217 while making 47 starts and another 10 appearances off the bench.
With the Miners: Last season, Arthur finished second with 28 runs on a squad that won the Alaska Baseaball League title. Arthur batted .287 and was also second on the Miners with 45 hits. He led Mat-Su with 188 at-bats.
