MAT-SU — Six Mat-Su Borough middle school students participated in a five-day residential STEM Career Explorations program offered through the University of Alaska Anchorage’s Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program.
Students explored the health sciences career field by participating in several learning hands-on activities led by industry professionals at the Allied Health Sciences Building on campus.
Completing the ANSEP Middle School Academy component is a prerequisite for the program.
Participating from Palmer were Branden Lindsay, James Rogers, Misty Wilmarth and Robert Kennerson. Alexis Brigman and Haley Soares participated from Wasilla.
It was the first of four STEM Career Exploration sessions scheduled at UAA this summer.
