• Air Force Airman 1st Class Heather A. Krieter graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Krieter is daughter of Kelly and Kurt Krieter of East Grow Lane, Palmer and a 2007 graduate of Colony High School.
• Air Force Reserve Airman Benjamin T. Ballard graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Ballard is a 2010 graduate of Palmer High School and the son of Don Ballard of South Lakeshore Loop in Palmer.
• Danielle Haley of Wasilla was awarded a bachelor’s of arts degree in English at a celebratory ceremony May 6 at the George M. Sullivan Arena in Anchorage. She is the daughter of Mary and Tim Anderson and John F. Haley.
• Kirsten Larson of Wasilla was awarded a master’s of science degree in nursing at a celebratory ceremony May 6 at the George M. Sullivan Arena in Anchorage. She is the daughter of Daniel and Susan Larson.
• Talisa Rodrigues of Palmer was awarded a bachelor’s of science degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in mathematics at a celebratory ceremony May 6 at the George M. Sullivan Arena in Anchorage. She is the daughter of Justina Rodrigues.
• Nichole Tovar of Palmer was awarded an associate’s of applied science degree in culinary arts at a celebratory ceremony May 6 at the George M. Sullivan Arena in Anchorage. She graduated with leadership honors, and is the daughter of Michael and Gena Grunwald.
• 2008 graduate of Colony High School graduate Jean Yang graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Minneapolis, Minn., with a bachelor of fine arts degree in drawing and painting. She will work as an artist and cake designer for Nadia Cakes. She plans to attend the master of fine arts program at Maryland Institute College of Art.
• Lindsey Richey of Wasilla was named to the dean's list for the 2012 spring semester at Ashland University, Ashland, Ohio. She is a 2010 graduate of Wasilla High School and is majoring in political science and history.
• Sean Boyden of Palmer was awarded a bachelor of science in chemical engineering from Michigan Technological University, Houghton, Mich., during spring commencement April 28.
• Benjamin Gerwig of Sutton was named to the spring 2012 president's list at LeTourneau University, Longview, Texas.
