DES MOINES, Iowa, Nov. 5, 2014 – Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) will mark Veterans Day by inviting service members, veterans and their families to learn more about managing their finances, buying a home and managing credit through free financial education online workshops.
The free webinars, offered by Wells Fargo’s Military Mortgage Express program, are scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 11 through Thursday, Nov. 13. The instructor-led sessions will provide information on homebuying, managing credit, or budgeting and saving, and participants will have the opportunity to ask questions. This is the third time Wells Fargo has offered free military financial education webinars, allowing service members and veterans to access the information from their homes or at local libraries.
Advance registration at wellsfargo.com/rsvp is required. Webinars are capped at 200 participants, so those interested are encouraged to register early. The webinar schedule and access codes are:
• First-Time Homebuyer: Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. CST. Access code: Mil1stHome
Buying a home may be one of the largest financial decisions for Americans. Participants will learn about the homebuying process, identifying the costs associated with buying a home and types of financing available, including the VA Home Loan Guaranty Program.
• Budgeting and Saving: Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. CST. Access code: MilBudget
Participants will learn how to make the most of their money by saving more, creating a spending plan and being a smart shopper.
• Get Smart About Credit: Nov. 13 at 2 p.m. CST. Access code: MilCredit
How to manage credit responsibly is an important skill to learn. In this session, participants will learn how to manage credit cards, the factors that go into an individual’s credit score, and how to manage credit cards responsibly.
