The Mat-Su Miners open their 2024 season Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Anchorage Bucs at Mulchay Stadium in Anchorage.

Tyler LeBrun returns for his sixth season as head coach of the Miners. Last year, LeBrun led the Miners to a runner-up finish in the ABL. The Anchorage Glacier Pilots got past the Miners in the ABL Top of the World Classic.

LeBrun’s staff includes pitching coach Steve Hecker, and assistants Ronnie Deck and Tyler Bosetti.

Bosetti played for the Miners in 2018.

The 2024 Mat-Su roster includes players from Division I programs such as UCLA, San Diego State, Nebraska and Iowa.

Mat-Su’s home opener is Friday at 6 p.m. against the Glacier Pilots at Hermon Brothers Field in Palmer. The Miners will also host the Bucs on Saturday at 4 p.m. and the Peninsula Oilers Sunday at 2 p.m.
