PALMER — The Mat-Su Miners saw a home game rained out for the second straight day on Monday.
The Miners were scheduled to host the Alaska Goldpanners, but that game will now become a part of a doubleheader on July 16. The Alaska Baseball League foes will meet in a seven-inning game at 3 p.m., and an nine-inning affair at 6 p.m.
Sunday's game against the Anchorage Glacier Pilots was also called due to poor weather. The game has been rescheduled for Thursday at 2 p.m.
Sunday's 'Fred Meyer Day at the Park' has also been moved to Thursday. Fred Meyer has donated more than $2,000 worth of merchandise that will now be given away at Thursday's matinee against the Pilots. The list includes iPod music players, an XBox Guitar Hero Aerosmith game, coolers and a flat screen television.
