Miners thank volunteers

To the editor:

Hermon Brothers Field, home of the Mat-Su Miners, was the 2010 site for the state high school baseball tournament.

I would like to thank Colony High School Activities Director Mike Boyd, Colony High School coaches Jamie Mayo and Gary Skan, Kelly and Lou Ziter, Tim Boring, Ginny, Amy, Steve Mossburgh and all the volunteers for taking care of the field during the 11 games played over the three-day period. The weather wasn’t the greatest for the first two days and with their work, the field held up, so thank you.
