SUTTON — No one was seriously injured when a school bus crashed into a guardrail Wednesday.

The crash reportedly occurred about 9 a.m. near Mile 60, Glenn Highway and involved 12 students. Ambulance crews from the Palmer, Sutton and Central Mat-Su fire departments responded to the scene to evaluate the students, some of whom had minor injuries, troopers said. But no one was transported to the hospital.

All students involved are between the ages of 3 and 5, according to first responder radio traffic. The bus was contracted to carry students for Chugiak Children’s Services Early Learning, according to the Mat-Su Borough School District.

Troopers say their investigation determined Adam Moser, 26, of Wasilla, was operating a 2011 Thomas School Bus when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a guardrail.

All agencies were cleared from the scene by about 9:30 a.m., April 22.

Troopers say sun glare was a contributing factor. And alcohol was not a factor in this incident, according to troopers.

The bus was driven from the scene, troopers said.
