A missing 4-year-old Wasilla child has been discovered safe.
According to Alaska State Trooper dispatch, Charlie Burdette was discovered safe Wednesday. Troopers declined to release details of the location of where the youngster was found, if anyone is being charged, or other details about the incident. According to a post by Trooper spokeswoman Megan Peters, Burdette was located with assistance from US Marshals Service, the Alaska Fugitive Task Force and the USMS Pacific Southwest Regional Task Force. She said no further information would be released because the person was a minor and the investigation is ongoing.
Troopers reported that on April 18, the department received a request from the Alaska Office of Children Services asking for the public's help in locating Burdette, who was believed to be with her father, 57-year-old Wasilla resident Raymond Martin. In that report, AST investigators said Raymond Martin failed to relinquish custody of the youngster and OCS had been unable to locate him.
