A Wasilla woman missing for nearly a week was found dead, Alaska State Troopers said.
Monica Pereira was found Friday about 3:45 p.m. in the area her vehicle was located, according to troopers. Pereira, 46, was last seen on the morning of Oct. 23, according to troopers. Pereira was driving a 2012 white GMC Terrain. Troopers said the vehicle was later found abandoned on Trunk Road near Tern Drive.
No foul play is suspected, troopers said, and next of kin was been notified.
