WASILLA — A Wasilla woman missing for more than two weeks was found dead Friday night.

The body of Shelly Ingram, 43, was discovered about 8 p.m. Friday in Houston, according to an update released by the Alaska State Troopers. No foul play is suspected at this time, troopers said.

Troopers initially received a report that Ingram was missing Aug. 5 at 7:37 p.m.

Shelly’s sister, Omogene, posted to social media in hopes that her sister would be located. Omogene said that her sister had been suffering from depression after moving to Alaska and hinted that she may try to drive out of the state. Shelly was last seen in Houston on the morning of Aug. 4 headed to church.

Ingram was believed to be driving a gold late model Toyota Corolla with Michigan plates DBS 9904 and a Thule roof rack with a case. Troopers pinged Shelly Ingram’s last cell phone communication near Mile 59 of the Parks Highway near Zero Lake Park at 6:37 a.m. on Aug. 5.

Ingram’s vehicle was also located at the scene Friday night.
