FAIRBANKS — Alaska State Troopers have found a Wasilla woman who was missing for two days in the Fairbanks area.
According to an AST press statement, Anjel Sherman, 34, was found at a home off of Goldhill Road, a street running along the Parks Highway in Fairbanks, at 5 p.m., Friday.
According to friends who had accompanied her, Sherman was last seen at 2 p.m., Wednesday while looking for useable firewood in an old logging area near Mile 327, Parks Highway.
According to troopers, Sherman told them when they found her that she’d been lost in the woods.
“She was able to find her way to a road and then hitch a ride to the residence that troopers made contact with her at,” the statement says.
