The Palmer Moose are on a winning streak.
Palmer scored a 16-7 victory over Houston Monday night in Palmer. The Moose used an eight-run effort in the second inning to grab their third straight win. Palmer also scored four times in the first and third innings.
Gabriel Wheeler, Spencer Jacobs, Stuart MacQuillin, Chad Landon and Kinan Greco drove in runs for the Moose during the second. Landon and Greco had two RBI each. Wheeler and Jacobs led the Moose with three runs each. Nine different Palmer players scored at least a run.
Palmer blanked Lathrop 13-0 May 4. A pair of Palmer pitchers combined for eight strikeouts. Kitzman finished with a single, triple, two runs and an RBI. Jacobs also had two hits and two runs.
Palmer started its streak with a 15-4 victory over Redington on May 1. Jacobs scored four times lo lead the Moose. Greco had a team-best three hits, along with two runs and an RBI.
Colony also won three straight. Its streak started with a 16-2 victory over rival Wasilla.
Brayden Parrent had a big night, finishing 3 of 4 at the plate. The shortstop collected three hits, including a pair of triples, four runs and two RBI. Aidan Satterly drove in four runs. Boman Marks added two hits and three runs.
Dylen Crowther pitched four innings to earn the win on the mound.
Chase Sivulich led Wasilla with a pair of hits.
Colony edged West Valley 6-5 on May 5. Kaesen Buzby delivered the walk-off victory with a single in the bottom of the seventh. Four different Knights finished with a hit.
The Knights followed with a 16-4 win over Lathrop. Zephon Rhomine recorded three hits and two RBI. Marks had two hits, two RBI and three runs. Deven Rhodes also had two RBI and three runs.
Wasilla split a pair of games against West Valley last week. The Warriors beat the Wolfpack 13-3 on May 4 and suffered a 10-7 loss May 6.
Jimmy Lackey led Wasilla with four RBI in the win. Pedro Camacho scored four times for the Warriors.
Wasilla also blanked Lathrop 10-0. Oscar Savala pitched a five-inning shutout. Sivulich had three hits and drove in three.
