PALMER — Host Juneau-Douglas needed a fourth-quarter rally to keep the team title of its own tournament at home.
Juneau used a 17-4 run during the final frame to post a 49-41 win over Palmer during the championship game of the Capitol City Classic Saturday night in Juneau.
Juneau’s Kolby Hoover scored six of his 14 points in the fourth to help the Bears win the team title. Erik Kelly added a game-high 23 points in the victory.
Clayton Southwick led Palmer with 19. The senior scored eight of his team’s 15 first-quarter points, and 14 in the first half. Isaac Atkins added nine.
Southwick, Jacob Titus and Jared Hawkins were named all-tournament.
