KETCHIKAN — The Palmer Moose used a 65-53 win over host Ketchikan to move into the championship final of the Clarke Cochrane Classic in Ketchikan.
Connor Looney scored 27 points during the semifinal win over the Kings to help Palmer setup a title match with Monroe Catholic. The Moose face the Rams today at 5:30 p.m. in Ketchikan.
James Nisbett added 16 points in the win, while Adam Ramoth chipped in 10. Palmer beat Gig Harbor (Wash.) in the first round, behind Looney’s 41 points.
The Palmer girls finished in fourth place of their bracket, thanks to a 52-45 win over Petersburg on Saturday. Taylor Blake continued her tear through the tourney with 29 points.
Blake also scored 32 points during a 51-33 win over Craig on Friday. Blake scored the 1,000th point of her PHS varsity career during Friday’s win.
