Moose boys move forward in South tourney

ANCHORAGE — Palmer freshman Clayton Southwick came up big for the Palmer Moose once again.

Southwick scored 22 of his game-high 29 points in the second half to lead the Moose to a 51-50 win over Glennallen during the first round of the O'Brady's Invitational at South Anchorage High School Thursday night.

Palmer trailed at halftime, but behind Southwick, used a 35-point second half to grab the victory. Palmer scored 21 of those points in the third quarter.

Southwick hit four three-pointers in the win. Three came in the second half. Tye Ramoth added seven points for the Moose, and James Blake chipped in five.

Cameron Peters led Glennallen with 22.

With the win, Palmer moves forward to play host South Anchorage Friday at 8:30 p.m.
