The Palmer Moose hockey team hosted the Bartlett Bears Wednesday at Brett Memorial Ice Arena in Wasilla.

The Moose were unable to stay with the Bears, who overmatched Palmer to take a 7-0 victory.

"We played well the first two periods," said Palmer coach Brian Fish. "We couldn't hold them in the third period with one of our main defenseman sitting in the penalty box for 10 minutes."

Palmer defenseman Travis Thornhill served a 10-minute misconduct penalty throughout most of the third period as Bartlett put the game out of reach with three goals in the third.

Palmer put seven shots on goal in the game, with Bartlett sending 43.

"Bartlett is a very physical team," said Fish. "They were able to wear us down during the game."
