PALMER — Palmer senior Ruby Woodings and sophomore Leif Mumma each earned a third-place finish to help the Moose girls and boys finish as the runner-up in their class during the Delta Invitational Sept. 10 in Delta Junction.
Woodings crossed the finish line at the 20-minute mark to finish third in the girls’ race. Mumma clocked a time of 17:17 to place third in the boys’ race.
Palmer finished with 65 points in the girls’ team standings. West Valley won the meet with 22 points.
In the boys’ team standings, Palmer finished second with 49 points. Lathrop won the team title with 32 points.
Connor Owens used a personal best time of 17:59 to finish eighth in the boys’ race. Amiqaq MacLean also had a personal best, using a time of 18:35 to finish 14th. Johnie Burton (18:38) was 17th for the Moose.
In the girls’ race, Rya Berrigan (21:13) place 12th. Nina Kalytiak (22:22) finished 16th and Rosemary Toro (23:04) was 20th.
Haley Hanson notched a personal best with a time of 23:08, and a 21st-place finish.
