With a pair of varsity matches on the road, both the Palmer girls and boys soccer teams clinched a 2025 Division II Northern Lights Conference regular season title.
The Moose girls and boys both scored 2-0 victories over the Grace Christian Grizzlies Tuesday night at Anchorage Football Stadium.
In girls action, Lila Pettit converted a penalty kick and Kaylee Gallego scored from about 30 yards out in the Moose win. Cole Miller netted both goals in the Palmer boys victory.
Valley rivals Colony and Wasilla also met Tuesday in their final matches against each other in the regular season. The Colony boys earned a 5-0 win over the Warriors. Owen Dietz led Colony with a pair of goals. Johnny Higgins, Isaac Villa and Nick Bailey also scored. Bailey, a four-sport athlete at Colony who also runs track in the spring and is in his first season of high school soccer, scored his first career goal.
Colony and Wasilla played to a 1-1 tie. Avrie Geigerich scored for the Knights. Mylee Anderson scored for the Warriors.
The Warriors girls and boys travel to Juneau to cap the regular season with a pair against the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears over the weekend. The Wasilla girls (4-1-1) are just ahead of the Knights (5-2-1) in the Division I Railbelt Conference standings. Colony (5-1-2) is currently second behind Juneau-Douglas (4-0-2) in the boys standings. Wasilla (2-3-1) is fourth.
