The Palmer Moose scored a pair of prep soccer wins over Northern Lights Conference rival Houston Tuesday evening at Palmer High School.
Lila Pettit, Kaylee Gallego and Jada Becker scored during Palmer’s 3-0 girls win over the Hawks. Charlotte Marciales earned the shutout for the Moose.
Porter Johnson converted a pair of free kicks and used the goals to help the Moose earn a 4-0 victory over the Hawks boys. Jackson Charton and Kaleb Von Gunten also scored. Abraham Chin and Kellen Kineen combined for the shutout in the Palmer net.
Division II Palmer also swept a varsity set against Division I Bartlett Monday night at PHS.
Pettit converted a penalty kick for the Palmer girls, and Gallego notched a pair of second-half goals. Isabel Rennie also scored.
Parker just used a penalty kick to lift the Palmer boys to a 2-1 win over the Golden Bears. Noah Gallego also scored.
In other action, the Wasilla girls played to a scoreless tie with Service. Larkynn Miner recorded the nine-save shutout.
