Moose, Knights score North Star wins

PALMER — Forward Jacob Inukai bagged a hat trick to lead the Palmer Moose to a 4-2 North Star Conference win over the Homer Mariners Thursday at the MTA Events Center in Palmer.

Inukai scored less than three minutes into play to give his team the early lead, and added his second goal midway through the first period. He completed his hat trick just 27 seconds into the third period.

Hayden Moistner also scored for the Moose. Inukai recorded an assist on the play.

Palmer, which outshot the Mariners 32-23, hosts Soldotna tonight at 7 p.m. at the MTA Events Center.

Knights top Hawks

WASILLA — Jonathon Boyer collected a pair of goals and two assists to lead Colony High to a 6-0 nonconference win over the Houston Hawks Tuesday in Wasilla.

Boyer recorded both of his scores during Colony’s five-goal first period.

Morgan McJimsey had a goal and two assists in the win. Logan Sanders, Anthony Kolendo and Mark Thygesson also scored for Colony.

Colton Beebe posted the shutout for CHS.

Colony cruises past Kenai

WASILLA — Colony netted eight goals in the third period and cruised to a 11-0 win over the Kenai Kardinals at the Menard Arena in Wasilla.

Morgan McJimsey led Colony with four goals in the win.

Jonathan Boyer added a hat trick and Curtis Foster scored a pair of goals.
