Moose score volleyball sweep of rival Knights

PALMER — The Palmer Moose scored a volleyball win over a Valley rival earlier this week.

Palmer beat Colony 3-0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-10) at Palmer High Tuesday. Sammy Buresh led the Moose with seven kills. Mikara Klawitter and Maddy Ko finished with four kills each for the Knights. Klawitter collected a dozen digs and an aace, while Ko also had seven digs and two aces.

Palmer also scored a home victory over Grace Christian last Friday, beating the Grizzlies 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-14). Holly Corbin led the Moose with eight kills.

Warriors beat Grizzlies

WASILLA — Wasilla scored a 3-0 (25-17, 25-10, 25-13) nonconference win over Grace Christian Tuesday at Wasilla High.

Courtney Anthony led the Warriors with 15 digs in the match. Olivia Vincent finished with six kills, and Leya DePriest chipped in five. Cate Currier led the Warriors with six aces, and Maggie Zwolinski added four aces. Lindsey Cizek finished with a team-best 15 assists.
