WASILLA — The Palmer Moose opened its Northern Lights Conference season with a 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 25-15) win over rival Wasilla at Wasilla High Tuesday night.
Senior Macey Buresh collected 23 assists for the Moose. Senior Elliot Perkins chipped in nine kills, seven digs and three aces.
Junior Amber Sizemore led the Warriors with seven kills. Senior Aimee Bushnell recorded a match-high 25 digs for the Warriors. Junior Peyton Mobley added 39 assists and two aces.
Wasilla (1-1) is in Nikiski today to compete in the Shanna Pritchard Tournament at Nikiski High School.
