KODIAK — The Palmer Moose improved to 8-1 in Northern Lights Conference play with a two-match sweep of the Kodiak Bears in Kodiak over the weekend.
The Moose capped the series with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-19, 25-14) sweep of the Bears Saturday afternoon. Elliot Perkins led Palmer with 13 kills, while Lily Cullers collected a team-high 13 digs.
Macey Buresh had 29 aces for Palmer, Kalei DePriest made five blocks and Malena Showalter chipped in five aces.
Carissa Cannon recorded a match-high 28 digs for Kodiak.
Palmer posted a 3-1 (25-18, 15-25, 25-22, 25-13) win over the Bears on Friday. Mariah McNamara collected eight kills, 12 digs and five aces for Palmer. Buresh had 26 assists and Kalei DePriest finished with six blocks.
Kodiak dropped to 4-4 in the NLC with the losses.
SOLDOTNA — The Skyview Panthers posted a 3-0 (25-15, 25-7, 25-18) win over Houston in Soldotna on Saturday.
Kenai edged Houston 3-2 on Thursday.
