SOLDOTNA — The Palmer Moose improved to 9-0-0 in North Star Conference play with a 4-3 win over the Soldotna Stars at the Soldotna Sports Center on Saturday.
Seniors Piers LaFrance and Nick Reeves each scored twice to help the Moose stay undefeated in the conference. Freshman Ashton Good had 26 saves.
Sean Endsley scored an early goal for Soldotna to give the Stars the lead in the first, but LaFrance scored later in the first to tie the score at 1.
LaFrance and Reeves each found the back of the net in the second to give the Moose the 3-1 lead, and Reeves added another goal in the third.
Zach Waters scored in the third to cut Palmer’s lead to 3-2. After Reeves scored his second goal to make it 4-2, Max Hegge scored with 1:02 left in regulation to cut Palmer’s lead back to a single goal.

HOMER — A goal and an assist from Ivan Good and a shutout by Ashtan Good lifted the Moose to the NSC win.
Nick Reeves scored in the first period on an assist from Good and Dalton Buness. Good scored in the second on an assist from Buness. Ashtan Good made 14 saves for Palmer, while Alex Sanarov had 30 saves for the Mariners.
