The Palmer Moose swept a pair of games against the North Pole Patriots Saturday afternoon at Palmer High School.
Freshman Lila Pettit scored the lone goal during Palmer’s 1-0 girls victory. Pettit’s scored from about 25 yards out during the second half. Freshman Charlotte Marciales earned the 11-save shutout.
The Moose boys ran past North Pole 8-1. Cole Miller led Palmer with four goals. Elijah Von Gunten added a hat trick. Kaleb Von Gunten also scored.
Palmer beat the Service boys 3-1 the night before. Miller scored twice for the Moose, a goal in each half, and Elijah Von Gunten also scored.
The Wasilla girls squad enjoyed a pair of lopsided victories over the weekend.
Wasilla beat North Pole 8-0 on Friday. Jordan Sande and Lainey Kroon recorded two goals and an assist each. Mylee Anderson had a goal and an assist. Mickenzy Lofland, Veronika Hutchings and Allie Johnson also scored.
Wasilla followed with a 9-0 win over Bartlett Saturday. Kroon, Anderson, Johnson, Holly Marsh and Makenna Hanson had a goal and an assist each. Sande, Hutchings and Violet Schachle also scored.
