JUNEAU — The Palmer Moose jumped into the title match and beat the host to win the JIVE Saturday night.
Palmer scored a 2-0 (27-25, 25-19) victory over the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears to win the Juneau Invitational Volleyball Extravaganza in Juneau.
Seniors Jenna Arlow and Morgan Morfe were named to the all-tournament team after helping the Moose finish 5-1 in pool play and win the event.
Palmer beat a pair of teams in the championship bracket before meeting Juneau in the final round. Palmer beat Petersburg 2-0 (25-16, 25-11) in the quarterfinals and Eagle River 2-1 (20-25, 25-19, 15-10) in the semifinals.
The majority of the teams in the field were from Southeast Alaska.
ANCHORAGE — Houston senior Savanna James was named to the all-tournament team following the Lady Grizzlies Volleyball Invitational at Grace Christian School in Anchorage.

CHUGIAK — The ASAA football playoffs will continue without Valley teams.
For the first time since 2008, no Valley teams advanced to the second week of the playoffs. Service edged Palmer 34-32 and West Anchorage beat Wasilla 59-36 in the quarterfinals.
West will now face South Anchorage Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the semifinals. Juneau-Douglas will face Service Saturday at 4 p.m. in the other semifinal.
A pair of trophies will also be handed out on Saturday. Nikiski and Barrow meet in the small schools championship game at noon. Kenai faces Homer in the medium schools title game at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
