More names for vacant seat

To the editor:

The citizens of Alaska elected Governor Palin to perform and make exactly these types of decisions. It’s time to remind our fellow Juneau Democrats of who the citizens of Alaska voted in as governor and in so doing have vested in her the constitutional authority to select whomever she sees fit to represent the vacant Senate seat. Alaska’s Democratic Party submitting only one name is an underhanded political stunt that breaks with tradition. As a citizen of Alaska, I applaud Governor Palin’s request for additional names, surely the Juneau democratic political capital can do better.
