Knights clinch Southcentral

KODIAK — The Colony Knights clinched the Southcentral Conference title with an 8-0 win over the Kodiak Bears at Baronof Field in Kodiak on Friday.

Mike Wagner sparked the Knights with a two-run homer in the fifth inning. Wagner also drove in a run in the seventh.

JD Mayo and Colter Peterson each had two-run singles in the seventh.

Peterson earned the win on the mound. He fanned 11 Bears.

On Saturday, Colony recorded a 10-0 nonconfernece win over Kodiak. Peterson, Wagner, Damon Hammer and Eddie Lee drove in runs for Colony.

Wagner earned the win on the mound.

Hawks perfect on the road

FAIRBANKS — The Houston Hawks finished 3-for-3 during a three-game road trip to the Interior.

The Hawks capped the trip with a 22-1 win over Monroe Catholic on Saturday. Houston scored a 12-7 victory over West Valley on Friday. The trip started with a 6-3 win over Eielson on Thursday.
