WASILLA — A woman is in custody on drug misconduct and child endangerment charges after Alaska State Troopers say they stopped her on the Parks Highway with crystal methamphetamine and marijuana in her vehicle while her two children were also in the car.
Trooper dispatch reports say Karissa Zimin, 37, was operating a Chevy Blazer with a headlight out around 10:45 p.m., May 3 when she was pulled over near Church Road.
AST K-9 Chevron assisted in the investigation and located user’s amounts of crystal methamphetamine and marijuana in Zimin’s vehicle.
She was arrested for charges of drug misconduct and endangering the welfare of child and was remanded to the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility with bail set at $7,500.
