ANCHORAGE — The Anchorage Police Department issued a felony no-bail warrant for the arrest of 40-year-old Donteh M. Devoe Feb. 13 on charges of sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree and possession of child pornography.
Devoh was arrested shortly thereafter at 11:40 a.m. and taken to Anchorage Jail. APD’s Special Victims Unit was notified on Jan. 29 that Devoe may have been involved in a sexual relationship with a minor and immediately launched an investigation. Devoe has made a career out of traveling across the state as a motivational speaker and mentor to students including in the Anchorage School District and Mat-Su Borough School District, including multiple speeches at Colony Middle School.
“Through this role Devoe has had contact with multiple juveniles statewide and police believe there may be more victims,” reads a press release from APD. “If you were a victim of devoe’s or have any other information that may be useful to this investigation, please contact SVU detective Czajkowski at 907-729-7680.”
This is a developing story.
