WASILLA — A 25-year-old Fairbanks man who crashed his motorcycle near Sears over the weekend died Monday afternoon at an Anchorage hospital.
According to a press release from Alaska State Troopers, Allen Risner was riding with a group of other cyclists on Blue Lupine Drive near Vicki Way around 6 p.m., Saturday.
Troopers report the accident occurred when Risner “drove off of the roadway and collided near a ditch and the bike path.”
Risner’s 2013 Harley-Davidson wasn’t registered and he was not wearing a helmet. He was flown from the accident scene near Wasilla to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage.
Two days later, troopers reported that Risner died at 2:45 p.m., Monday in the hospital’s Adult Critical Care Unit.
