Motorcyclist dies of injuries

PALMER — A motorcyclist seriously injured late last week on Wolverine Road has succumbed to his injuries.

Alaska State Troopers say Kurt Walker, 40, of Palmer, was driving south on a 1984 Honda when, shortly before 9 p.m. Friday, near Mile 4 of Wolverine Road he lost control and was thrown from the motorcycle.

Troopers say Walker was flown from the accident scene to Providence Alaska Medical Center with serious head injuries.

He managed to hang on through the weekend, but passed away at around 5:26 a.m. Tuesday, according to trooper reports
