The Mat-Su Dart Association drew a huge crowd of steel-tip darters from all over the state, and even from Whitehorse, Yukon, during its second annual Mikeael Edd Goodwin Open tournament Nov. 2 to 4.
The MSDA thanks tournament director Michael Foote for doing an outstanding job of funneling darters through the brackets, especially considering there weren’t enough boards to accommodate the number of shooters that signed up to play. Great job, Mike!
This tournament would not have been possible without the generosity and sponsorship of the fine folks at The Silver Fox Inn. Thanks go to Buzz and Michelle Alley and their staff for the use of their venue and for their generous prize monies and for donating four trips to Las Vegas.
Also, MSDA would like to thank these other wonderful donors, board sponsors, and contributors for helping us make our tournament a huge success:
“Chainsaw” Tom Robertson, “Way to Go” ’01 Outs, AAA Billiards Sales and Service, Alaska Midnite Scents, Best Western Hotel, Camper Valley RV Sales, Carrie Keays, Country Legends 100.9, D’s Screenprinting, Don and Diane Tucker, Family of Mikeael Edd Goodwin, Grandview Inn and Suites, Hilda Hanna, IHop, Keri Ballard, Kushin Services, Mat-Su Water, Melissa Willis, Moosehead Saloon, Musk Ox Farm, Namtvedt and Company, O’Reilly’s, Odom Corporation, Palmer Bar, Quix Floral, Robinson Millwork, Steven Anderson and Leann Mason, The Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman, Tollers’ Timbers Guest Chalets and Cottages, and Wasilla Lube Express Inc.
And one last big thank you to all the MSDA members who helped to set up and tear down the boards and ready the venue.
