MTA elects two new board members

PALMER — Two men were elected to the Matanuska Telephone Association’s board of directors at the co-op’s annual meeting Tuesday.

Chuck Foster won a three-year seat and Al Strawn won a two-year seat.

Foster was the highest vote-getter and Strawn the second highest. To get their seats, they beat seven other contenders — Mary Kvalheim, Greg Jetter Sr., John Rockwell, George Trabits, Robert Beans, James Hemsath and Paul S. Johnson.

Also at the meeting, the board selected its officers. Tammy Bruce will be its chief governance officer, Kim Robinson will be its secretary. Katie Fosselman is the board’s fifth member.
