Nearly 300 people took to the mud at the Big Lake Lions Mud Volleyball Games Saturday - and hundreds more turned out just for the party.

Twenty-eight teams of 10 people each signed up for the event, which was held under sunny skies Saturday.

It was the largest turnout in the event's 10-year history, organizers said.

Teams paid $100 to play, and that money goes to the Big Lake Lions, to help fund community activities and programs.
